I know that A3 option on the cowl tag mean the INTERIOR TRIM GROUP option.
Does anyone know – what group is this exactly?

I think I know what you mean. The flare is supposed to taper to a point at the very back of the opening where it meets the quarter. The right side looks like it's several inches above that.
