where's a good source of windlace for our Mopars? Am looking for my 56 Windsor.

Hi. For my 56 Dodge, I had two options. 1) An "Old Car Center" that had some windlace or 2) the internet (eBay).

I didn't like the colours or the "texture" of the stuff that the Old Car Center had. So I went to the internet (Google) and
it gave me a link to someone on eBay selling windlace in more colours and with a better looking texture so I went
with them. After measuring the total distance for around 4 doors in my Custom Royal sedan twice - and then adding
a few feet to be sure, I placed the order. I was very happy with what I got.

I am away from my resources at the moment so unfortunately, I can't give you the link to the eBay seller.

However, if you do a Search here with the keyword "windlace" and my user name 56D500boy and all posts you will find
at least two windlace threads that should help you. The one in which I documented my installation DIY (without
removing the headliner) is titled "Question about installing windlace" (no eBay link there either but a good pictorial DIY)

Windsor59 from Sweden also posted a great windlace DIY (Search "windlace" with his user name). Looks like I used
the same windlace as he did.

If I find the eBay seller, I will post it in this thread.

Hope that is some help.

Give http://www.jcauto.com a call. Jeff might have some he can pull off a roll for you. Andy Bernbaum and Pat Walsh also advertise as carrying windlace. Quirey Quality should have some of Gary Goers old stock as well.

Restoration Specialties and Supply, Windber, PA. Cloth, vinyl, reasonable. One of the best sources for a ton of stuff for the restorer.

SMS had the perfect material to match my 61 NYer. We went to lunch and they sewed the material around the core so there was about twenty feet of exact match color and pattern windlace waiting when we returned after lunch. Outstanding results.
