I know the drum and hub assemblies are different front to rear, but what about just the drum if it was removed from the hub? I have a couple of good front 11"x2" drums with hub assemblies from a 1961 Plymouth and I'm hoping to separate the drums from the hubs and then use the drums on the rear of my 1960 wagon. The wagon rears are also 11"x2" drums. I'm going to give it a try, not sure if anyone knows for sure?

I've been trying to find a floating 11"x2" drum from a newer car that would fit, but I'm not having any luck.

Can't help you on the new(er) stuff ( my parts catalogues only go to 1958) but in 1956 the front and rear drums on the Chryslers and Desotos were the same, i.e. 1637 335 in the attached. Hubs were different front and rear.
