I may be getting to do some paint work on my wagon this winter. so, want to know which way is correct...
The wrap around or plain jambs? This car has had 3 changes of color in it's life.

I do not recall ever seeing two-tone door jambs from the factory like those pictured. I have seen different colored paint in the door jambs that line up with color sweeps but only wrap 90 degrees over the edge of the door opening about a half inch but not always a real sharp line and with a bit of overspray.

My understanding is that the plain jambs are correct.  I two-toned my jambs because I thought it looked better.

This 2 tone seems logical, how the top color wraps around the door jamb and the lower color only extends 90 degrees as Fred said. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=72582&...
