On the search for parts for my new wagon.

Looking for NOS or mint on the chrome bits.

* Grille medallion w/base (Shield behind the lion) - 2196573 or 1903695
* Taillamp housings - 1961344/1961345*
* Gas cap - 2240235
* Fuel tank stone deflector - 1961353 - Same for all 1960 wagons, may fit others. Picture below.
* Tailgate emblem "Chrysler" - 2196469
* Tailgate bumper retainer - 2196467 - These are the chrome part on the tailgate with the rubber pad that rests on the bumper when the tailgate is down.
* Tailgate window switch bezel - 2196461 - Chrome bezel for power tailgate window switch, 1960 only, same as Dodge and Plymouth
* Fender top ornaments - Could not find part number. Also was optional on Windsors and Saratogas

I'm sure there will be more once I dig into the car.

Looking at the 1960 master parts catalog believe located the part numbers for the Chrysler front fender “spear” ornament

There are actually two different listings but fairly certain this is because there is a part number for the “oranament package” which included a complete set and the other part number is the actual part number cast on each individual spear. I know that this is definitely true for 1960 Dodge models.

Part numbers fender spears 1960 Chrysler & Desoto:
• 1903057 “ornament package”
• 2196500 “individual” spear as the parts catalog lists 2 total required
This should be the number cast into the underside of the part
You could confirm this by removing the spears from the car and checking cast part number

I will double check the master parts catalog for any other references and update if there’s any further details, but
hopefully this helps with the search.

Thanks, that helps. My 1960 collision parts book doesn't show them at all and I could find it in the parts book under 2196500. They were standard on New Yorker and optional on Windsor and Saratoga. I had a couple in my hand yesterday but forgot to look for the casting number.

Got some parts over the weekend. the "Chrysler" emblem is from a sedan so still need a wagon one. I need to get the car home so I can compare but they have different part numbers. The grab handles are almost perfect and don't look like they've ever been on a car. That's a left taillight, I have NOS lenses but the right one I have has a lot of shelf wear.

BTW, I can't edit my original post but the grille frame part number is 1863785. The other number is for the grille screen and I just ordered an NOS one of those.

The one on the '60 looks like the one in my picture. Is the '61 version unique to the wagon as well?
