I've had this car just about 3 years. Since buying it, our daughter moved back in with us making parking a premium. I think it's time for something to go if I can get a decent price for it. So, testing the market for a 2-door wagon. Car would come with all extra parts including a driver door, complete NOS Sport Tone stainless trim set, lenses, gauges. It's at the point where I need to commit to either get serious about paint and body, just leave it as it is, or let it go. Plenty of photos and details at http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=63722&...

Highlights are 12V conversion with Delco alternator, completely rewired, new carpet, new seat covers, new headliner, new door panels, front disk brake conversion, new rear brakes, new driver floor, new passenger rocker panel, NOS tailgate painted and installed, new tires, new clutch/brake/gas pedals

Car has a '53 flathead six and 3-speed manual

Asking $15,000 U.S.

Car is just outside Frederick, MD

I'll put some photos together and share them with you through Google photos.

My '71 has been at the body shop for 6 months making parking at my place less congested. They've finally gotten serious about working on the Charger so it will eventually come home. So, I'm hoping that dropping the asking price to $14,000 might help generate some interest.

Hi 71 Charger fan. Just admiring all your great work. Would you tell me the make / source of the master cyl ...I assume it is a dual system. Is that also a proportioning valve ? ( I am no brake expert yet). Also would the front disc brake kit you used fit a 56 Dodge? Again, could you let me know make / source. Thanks, Steve

I forget which manufacturer's MC I finally wound up with. I had some trouble finding a good one. Essentially, pretty much any manual disk brake master cylinder from a '70s Mopar will work. I bought the distribution/proportioning valve from therammaninc.com. I don't know about Dodges, but for Plymouths in '55 there was a spindle changeover. Early '55 Plymouths had the same spindles as '54. Scarebird has conversions for both.

When my Charger finally comes home from the body shop, it will force the wagon to outdoor storage. I'd like to see it go to a good home rather than sit outside, even if it's under a cover. If you're interested, shoot me a reasonable offer and a good running 2-door wagon could be on its way to you.

While I haven't exactly been aggressively marketing this car, it is still available. My Charger finally has new quarters installed and the rear of the unibody is in primer. Eventually it will come home and I hate to kick the wagon out to park in the weather. I'd love to see it go to a good home. Before I put it in Hemmings, I thought I would bump this back to the top.

I have a potential buyer saying he's coming Sunday to look at it. At this point, I'll believe it when I see him. Almost getting used to no-show buyers. I'm tempted to put it on Hemmings Auctions with a low reserve and let whatever happens happen.

I have an offer which I have accepted. I will officially declare it sold when I have the money and it's on its way to its new home.

I do have some leftover parts including NOS lenses and a complete NOS set of Sportone moldings. I will eventually take photos and put them in the parts for sale section.
