Member Posts: 31 | I have a 1960 Chrysler Saratoga and the seller told me that the paint that he used was: FUL-CRYL II NASON 838071D CODE W OYSTER WHITE I have no idea what all that means but since the granddaughter found a way to put 3 big scratch on the car. I need touch up paint in a small bottle or a pen. But, when I go to duplicolor I can't find that paint and I have no idea where or how to get a touch up version of it. I found GALLONS of NASON but not what I need. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Member Posts: 31 | The car was repainted about 2 years ago with the info listed above and I am not sure if he picked the "original" color or not. But, if I wanted to find myself a sample of the "alaskan White" in a pen or touch up bottle, where would I find that?

Alaskan White is the same color as Oyster White and Polar White ( Dodge called it Polar White). Original paint code for that color is WW1. I once owned a 77 Cordoba that had the same paint code, and it was called Spinnaker White. You should be able to get your paint scanned at a local body shop supply and they can mix up a spray can for you for around $25.00, at least around here I have had it done for my 60 Saratoga. ( Mine is not white). If you want to use a brush to touch up, you can spray some into the lid and use a fine brush to fill in the scratch. Once you fill in 2-3 coats with a brush, let it set for a day or 2 then blend it in with some polishing compound. Edited by imopar380 2019-05-22 10:30 PM

Expert Posts: 1819 Location: Vancouver, BC | W Oyster White is for a 1960 Plymouth. Ditzler Code for 1960 Plymouth's Oyster White is 8218. Ditzler 8218 was also for Satin White (Dodge cars), Shell White (DeSoto), Alaskan White (Chrysler, Imperial). The shades are all the same. The Ditzler code, 8218, confirms that. Nason Paint was taken over by DuPont (now known as Axalta) and the firm is now Axalta/Nason. So if you want to use Nason products you will have to search for a company that deals in Axalta/Nason products. Just be advised that PPG (Ditzler), Sherwin-Williams, ICI, Glasurit, Rinshed-Mason, etc. are all quality auto paint suppliers and any local auto paint / repair firm should be able to assist you, as Ian (imopar380) has stated.
