Member Posts: 17 | Does anyone know if there is an "easy" conversion kit to get rid of the canister type filter and replace with a spin on cartridge filter on a 57 325 V8? That canister is in such a difficult spot and inevitably I do not seem to get it tight enough the first time or the gasket slips and I end up spraying oil all over even when I think I have done it correctly. I want to keep the car original as possible but changing that to a spin on filter would sure make PM much simpler!

Expert Posts: 3775 Location: NorCal | I installed the Hothemiheads 30° adapter on my '57 Dodge 325. Makes filter changes a snap. Edited by 57chizler 2019-04-03 12:27 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5006 | I am not sure about draining the oil from the filter ever time you shut it off? I guess it shouldn't matter...

Member Posts: 17 | Thanks for the info! From your site and other recommendations that 30 degree adapter is exactly what I need!

Member Posts: 17 | Just one quick clarification and I am fairly certain I know the answer, but my 325 is a Poly and not a Hemi. My understanding is the only difference is the heads so the suggested 30 degree adapter from Hot Heads should fit. Am I correct in that assumption?
