Location: The Mile High City | I have met David and I have seen that car. It is truly spectacular! The paint alone is a marvel - deep, deep, mirror finish. I can't imagine how much that must have cost. David is an interesting person - he probably knows more about Chyslers than anyone I have met, and I know Rick, John, and Tony (no offense, fellas). He owned a Dodge dealership, but he is not your typical dealership owner. He can, by himself, take apart a car and put it back together better than the factory could. That man knows his stuff!

Location: The Mile High City | They are wonderful cars, but the market for them must be tiny. Price is a hurdle. Storage is a hurdle. Restoration is a hurdle. Even use is a hurdle - they must be kinda fun to drive, but you would much rather ride in back. Who has a chauffer these days? Thank goodness for David, who is willing to say to heck with all that, this is what I like and I have enough money to do what I want.
These cars harken back to a time (near the end of that time) when limousines were for the truly wealthy. Nobody with wealth or taste today would even consider riding around in a stretch monstrosity that passes for a modern limousine. Sadly, they have become a bad joke!

Location: Parts Unknown | For my million dollars, I'd rather restore a steam locomotive ! Still, they are cool. Just about as practical as a steam locomotive too.

i mean great restoration but those prices are nuts for those. Limos just arent that desired.

Expert Posts: 3903 Location: Northen Virginia | Rare car for the elite of the time, wealthy and exclusivity that did not aged well for future generations... Everyone would like to have one to go to dinner, only if Gary goers had every interior part available out of his catalog... Dealing with cabinet makers and fabricating parts?, NO thank you.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 5054 | limos are custom and they did whatever it took to get it looking good. The person riding in the back didnt know it was wood, didnt care, lots of arts and crafts true but limo's are cheap. I admit these are amazing but these guys expectations are way over what the market is offering. I mean many hearses and limo are dirt cheap.
