Regular Posts: 84 | Using my new found skill of posting pictures, I thought I would go over this car and provide documented original factory markings. For those that gotta have their ducks in a row this car is a gold mine. It is a 57 Dodge Royal, 2 door hard top, turquoise and white. 325 Poly power pack car, 4 barrel and dual exhaust. It has factory under coat. I got the IBM punch card from Chrysler Historic. It was shipped to a dealer in Oregon. 1 Hinges are painted a red oxide primer and the spring is a brighter red 2 Hood latch is natural metal color 3 Fuel pump is original and not painted 4 Motor mounts are painted silver 5 Firewall ground wire has a woven fabric cover on it 6 Carb. spring is painted black 7 The under side of the trunk lid is not painted and the inset areas of the trunk have fiber liners attached 8 "57" assembly mark of yellow paint on the edge of the lid 9 Trunk latch is painted a pinkish red 10 No painted areas in the trunk. It must have been closed during painting as the trunk lid has over spray around the edges. 11- trunk lid over spray 12-13 -14-15 under coat was swiped on the hood in 3 areas 16 wire clips on the intake manifold to attach the generator wire that goes straight across the engine 17 Original ground battery cable 18 sealer slop on the heater 19 Assembly person grafetti on the cardboard rear seat divider (57-1.JPG) (57-2.JPG) (57-3.JPG) (57-6.JPG) (57-5.JPG) (57-4.JPG) (57-7.JPG) (57-8-a.JPG) (57-9.JPG) (57-10.JPG) (57-11.JPG) (57-16.JPG) (57-18.JPG) (57-19.JPG) (57-20.JPG) (57-21.JPG) Attachments ---------------- 57-1.JPG (43KB - 162 downloads) 57-2.JPG (45KB - 169 downloads) 57-3.JPG (47KB - 154 downloads) 57-6.JPG (56KB - 159 downloads) 57-5.JPG (56KB - 173 downloads) 57-4.JPG (45KB - 159 downloads) 57-7.JPG (46KB - 158 downloads) 57-8-a.JPG (30KB - 155 downloads) 57-9.JPG (41KB - 161 downloads) 57-10.JPG (45KB - 154 downloads) 57-11.JPG (30KB - 155 downloads) 57-16.JPG (58KB - 162 downloads) 57-18.JPG (38KB - 152 downloads) 57-19.JPG (33KB - 156 downloads) 57-20.JPG (34KB - 152 downloads) 57-21.JPG (32KB - 156 downloads)

Regular Posts: 84 | That 19 picture of the cardboard divider, I can just imagine some factory worker leaning on a stack of dividers and taking out his yellow marker and drawing a picture for someone to find. Picture 20 is the location of the air cleaner decal Picture 21 is the sediment bowl and gas filter with Carter carb.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9604 Location: So. Cal | Looks like your car was assembled in the Los Angeles plant. They painted the hood hinges oxide red and had black inner fenders as well as mounting the terse data plate on the firewall. Edited by Powerflite 2018-09-12 12:34 AM

Its a 60, but my LA-plant Fury had the hood hinges, springs and inner fenders painted bodycolor. Edited by 1960fury 2018-09-12 5:28 PM
