The mirror is "seized", i.e. will not adjust. I presume that the "bullet" nose created some tension on the mirror. How do I loosen the bullet?

One of these (AACO 1616 RH (or LH for that matter):

I was able to get my "seized" mirrors to loosen up by applying some grease (or lubricant) to the the ball near where the white plastic cup seats in the base - and then carefully and gradually working the ball joint around.  It looks like you need a very special tool to remove that bullet point!

After posting, I removed the mirror from the car and I tried some Mopar Combustion Chamber cleaner and some Moovit at the ball joint. I let it soak for about 10 minutes and then put it down on a piece of cardboard on the garage floor (glass down) and then used my muscles to loosen the mirror by pushing/pulling on the base. It eventually came free.

I would still like to adjust the tension at the bullet point.

I am sure that they do. I just wonder want the tool looks like (and don't say "Look in the Mirror" )
