Location: northern germany		Running quality aftermarket wheels took away most of the runout vibration of the old tortured oe steel wheels but the new wheels center bore was bigger than the hubs register. Tried hubcentric rings recently (after running 20 years without!) and that really improved high speed driveabilty. That slight vibration at high speeds, that I blamed on road irregularities (and the solid steering coupler), is gone completely. A silk smooth ride at any speed now!

Unfortunately not all Mopar hubs are the same, as some Mopar hubs don't have a register! I always thought it is a small vs big car thing, as my 60 Fury has register hubs my 122wb cars don't. To my surprise I just noticed that my 59 Fury has hubs without registers too, like the big cars with the drum attached to the inside of the hub held by the wheelstud heads. It's a CA build car, like my 60, built only 4 month earlier. This really surprised me. Unfortunately there is no way to safely machine a register into them and adapters change the wheel offset. Will ad some pictures later. Just thought I share the info.

I was surprised that I found them on Ebay. An Australien company sold them. Bought them some time ago. 71.1 inside diameter, 81.1 outside diameter (centerline wheels), quality aluminum pieces. The price was okay but the shipping was not, as usual.

Will try to add some pictures.
Not sure if I translated that correctly with "register"? For those still running the OE wheels, get a dial and measure radial and axial runout. You will be surprised. This was a whole new driving experience.

I have been thinking of making a set for to improve some of the defects, but I'm not sure how to mount/secure them.

Location: northern germany		There is, or use to be, a company on Ebay that makes custom rings. I'm pretty sure you can find one via google. It's money well spend. Here a picture of mine, front wheel:

Location: northern germany		Yes, if you wonder about the large camfer that is visible. I had to grind away the cone and turn them around that camfer is so large that it barely contacted the hub (about 0.1mm). This is a tight fit, had to heat the rings in order to install them. I'm using titanium wheel fasteners, so this takes some stress away from them too I guess, gives me peace of mind.

I'll fabricate a set for my car this autumn/winter. I will also search for "newer" MoPar steel rims and check them in my lathe, really whish that I could find 4 good ones.

It's almost impossible to find correct newer wheels, offset is always off. I plan to switch to 15"s on my 61 because of wilwood discs. Looks like I'll have to get a custom made set. Here are the different Mopar hubs, with and without register, that I mentionen above:

Location: northern germany		Of course one could turn the non register hub and fabricate a larger aluminum ring to fit over the hub.
