I picked up a '57 D500 325 hemi motor with single 4bbl setup (but the block is KDS so originally a 325 poly) yesterday and it came with a couple of other parts. This crank is one of them. The mains are 2.75" and the rods are 2.375" so that tells me maybe RB big block - 413, 426 or 440. Are there other motors that used that size or is it definitely for a big block Chrysler? It is forged, but it has these weird tabs sticking off the center parts of it. Are all '58-'61 cranks 8 bolt? This one is 6 bolt so I would assume it is for the later motors, correct? Another part that came with it is an old Mallory DSM 6 volt performance coil. Unusual old speed equipment, but completely useless.

Yes, the pre-'62 V8 cranks had 8 unthreaded holes, the '62-later had 6 threaded holes. The "tabs" opposite the counterweights are quite common. You have a '62-later RB crank.
