Extreme Veteran Posts: 308 Location: Newcastle Australia | For those not on Facebook: Peter's Dodge. For Sale, 1959 Dodge Custom Royal Sedan, 361 B Block V8, Push Button Automatic. Australian assembled RHD car, been in Tasmania since new. Factory colour was a pale green and white I believe, original owner repainted car in silver. Car is in great condition for age with the usual chips and some scratches, nothing major. Only minor rust in right sill, boot floor and in the rear screen channel as per photo's. Have installed Dynamat in cabin floors and inside all four doors, allot quieter now. New moulded carpet also installed, interior in very good condition for original seats and door cards. Following is a list of all parts replaced in car: New Weiand four barrel intake manifold. Rebuilt 600 Holley, Vacuum Sec. New air cleaner. New electronic ignition. New alternator. New Mopar Performance rocker covers. New Master Cylinder. New Power Booster Kit. New Lifters. New thermostat and housing. New fuel tank pickup. New Fuel Pump. New Tailshaft, balanced, new Uni and boot kit. New upper ball joints installed, have new bottom ones included, but old ones are still good. New brakes all round, New shoes, wheels cylinders, new wheel bearings. New gas shock absorbers all round. Only 2200 miles on new chrome steel rims, 15 x 7 front, 15 x 8 rear with bullet centres. Coker Classic Radial whitewalls, 215/75/15 front, 235/75/15 rear. $3000 in wheels and tyres alone. Trims on car have holes in them, someone decided to screw trims on instead of using clips when it was repainted. I have put clips back in, other than holes they are straight and in good condition. All old engine parts included in sale. Car drives very nicely for a nearly 60 year old car, it is a real head turner. This is an honest description of car, not hiding anything. No swaps or trades thank you. Car is on Tasmanian Special Interest registration and is not transferable. Any questions or more photo's you may need please let me know. It's a very solid car and one that won't disapoint. Genuine reason for selling. Call 0417 794 011. Elite Veteran Posts: 977 Location: Sydney, Australia | I'm pretty sure Pete said on one of the FB groups he wants to get back into doing another Aust Valiant... Remember his Val he sold just before buying the 59 Dodge.. http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=61235&... | ||

Veteran Posts: 125 Location: Tasmania, Australia | Hi Matte, I did find myself another AP5 Valiant. Its a 1964 Regal Safari, not many around in this colour combo with the cream and red interior. This is a real low 51,000 mile car and is in pretty nice condition, a 20c size bit of rust to fix and thats it. I really did make a mistake selling my black sedan and miss it allot so I needed to get into another one. I love the wagons and am very happy with this one. There will be some changes to it with adding a white roof, venetians, a sunvisor, widened steelies with wide whitewalls of course. I'm never discounting owning another FL as I still love them, but will not sell another car to get one. Here's some pics of him, I called him Cecil. Elite Veteran Posts: 977 Location: Sydney, Australia | That's sweet Pete. You must be stoked with that. Always had a soft spot for all the Safari wagon models. Is that the original paint? I do know what you mean. I love the FL cars but am getting into the Aust Val cars more and more. Wouldn't mind a ute. Funny that you called the old boy Cecil and the colour combo.. Not a Val but my old Holden which is called Cecil. That was my pops name and he gave me this in 96. He had it since new and I used to play in it as a kid. Rare mayan gold and red interior combo still original. Made me laugh seeing you Val with the colour combo and what you named the old boy. Edited by matte 2018-10-31 4:11 PM (5.
