FIRST TIME USER.I RAN IN TO A PROBLEM I HAD MY 318 PULLED AND SENT TO THE SHOP TO HAVE IT CLEANED AND BORED. GOT IT BACK AND STARTED TO PUT IT ALL TOGHETER.I HAD ONE PROBLEM I CAN NOT REMEMBER IF THE MOTORMOUNTS INSTALLS IN FRONT OR BEHIND THE EARS ON THE BLOCK I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME THANKS FOR A GREAT SITE.

After bolting it to the tranny drop it down. Probably will drop on one side or the other, probably doesn't matter which side.

It does matter because it will offset your motor by around 3/4". The mounts go behind the ears on the block. In other words, the mount goes more toward the back to push the motor more toward the front.

thanks for the reply. it looks like it is a difference in the two mounts how can i tell left from right on the motor mounts next time i need too pay more attention when i take it apart and again thanks for the help and a great site

now it is going to be real tecnical when it comes to pictures and posting on site i have problems just by writing words. i will try to take pictures in the morning and see if i can post it thanks again for all the help

It will look like this, only shifted more forward. This is a big block 383 in a '57 Plymouth chassis. Poly 'A' 301-303-313-318 have more of a bracket offset forward, cylinder more rearward.

thanks for pictures that will help ,i took some measurements center off mounts to exhaust manifold and it lines up with frame and exhaust pipes thanks for all the help.
