There were two automatics available in 1958 Plymouths, 2 spd Powerflite and the 3 spd Torqueflite. Which one do you have? (Might make a difference in the part you need).

Elite Veteran Posts: 689 Location: Winston Salem, N.C. | hi thank you, it has 3 speed torqueflite transmission. Again, 1958 318" and automatic transmission, both of which came from the same car. thanks jerry

That said, I only see on 16 tooth pinion: PN 1732 113 Might look like this: Apparently fatsco might have what you need - if you call them. https://www.fatsco.net/index.html REFERENCE: http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=35304 Edited by 56D500boy 2018-04-30 12:32 PM (TorqueFliteSpeedometerPinionPNs.jpg) Attachments ---------------- TorqueFliteSpeedometerPinionPNs.jpg (193KB - 49 downloads)

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Powerflite - 2018-04-30 1:42 PM How many teeth are on the drive gear? I need to adjust the speedo for my 2.76 gears and need to figure out which gear I need with my tires. I could only find speedometer "gear" and "pinion" combos for the standard transmissions. "Gear" seemed to be "6 teeth" for them. If you can find the 3 spd torqueflite speedometer "gear" in this diagram by number, then I can go from the number to the section, to the PN. Expert 5K+ Posts: 9904 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Powerflite - 2018-04-30 3:18 PM I think it is cut into the output shaft, number 13. So not a separate part. Item 13 leads to Section 21-05-1 which calls out the 57-58 torqueflite output shaft as 1736 471 with "8 T" (eight teeth?).
