Rewiring the Chrysler. 4 wires coming out in the old, 3 wires coming out in the new. Do not know what connection goes where on this switch. My shop book isn't clear on the schematic.

Not sure if this helps but on a 56 Dodge headlight dimmer switch, there is power is, power out to the low beam headlight filaments and power out to both the high beam headlight filaments *AND* the high beam indicator light, i.e. four wires out. Check the mid-top area of this diagram for the "beam selector switch"

On that basis, in your photo, I think the power in is likely to be the terminal at the "5 o'clock position", the low beam at the "8 o'clock" position and the two siamesed terminals at "10" and "11 o'clock" are the high beam terminals. You could confirm that with a multimeter set on ohms, i.e. a connection between 5 and 8 becomes a connection between 5 and 10/11 when the plunger is depressed.

Further to the above, I did investigate the dimmer switch wiring on my LA-built 56 Dodge this summer and it looked like this:

Yellow Red Black Orange with the Orange going up to the high beam indicator light at the back of the speedometer
