Just noticed that I can't read my odometer anymore. The odometer is still working, but the numbers have droped down to just below the viewing slot.  I can read them if I get above the dash and look down.  The numbers used to be in the viewing slot and could be seen while driving.  What is the fix?  Thanks

This is common on the 1960-63 dodges with the arched speedometer glass housing

The speedometer is attached to the lower housing by sandwiching in between and there an adhesive. The usual cause for it dropping down is the adhesive dries / wears out.

I know others with the same problem and they have successfully re-glued the speedometer back in place.
To perform the repair have to remove the speedometer, push it back into place and apply adhesive.
Not certain what glue / adhesive was used but figure something like the stuff used to reattach rear view mirrors to windshield or a 2 part epoxy. That way it’s going to stay in place.

60 dart doesn't have glue of any sort . the lens screws to the speedo . the speedo screws to the dash insert . sometimes the narrow strip below the odom. is bent convex , makin it hard to read . the best first step is
to reach under the dash , find the speedo case and try to move it . if no movement , simply remove the complete dash insert and check it out in hand . things are just probably a little out of alignment . not all dash
inserts were the same for 60 darts . why i don't know but i have five or six with the little strip below the odom made from straight to up @ 1/4in. in the middle . the next thing is lighting . a dim or low light source
will also make it hard to read , like a dim shop light or an overcast day . its probably just needing a better alignment , and with removing the insert , its probably skill level one -------------------------------------------later

Agree that the speedometer mounts to the housing with screws
Maybe the later years were changed and 1960 was different so I stand corrected

Just passing along the info on glue from others that have stated this was possible fix
