What are you up to? Who is looking at a FL car? Keen to hear a story, (doesn't matter if its b^llsh!t!)

Steve.

Good to hear from you Al. Hard to believe it is a year since we met at the American show in Dunedin! Keen to see pics of your stash.

Travis, maybe you could sneak 1 pic of your Airflow on here!

Best regards, Steve.

Yeah Steve, good call, I will get some update photos of the Airflow up soon. We've just bought a bit of land with a big shed on it which settles in a couple of weeks so I will shift the Airflow out there and be able to spread out a bit more than it's current location.

Gotta love the Airflow!

I'm looking at something on the forum every day, check in on this sub-forum fairly regularly.

There is some FL activity about. Neil is getting on with his Chrysler, Glen has started coming back to his cars after a couple of turbulent years. He was on the phone to my nephew the other day sorting out some engine work Ben is doing for him and discussing pistons that sit too far down the bore.

Is that an 'Australian Crawl'?

Forums have suffered a decline all over the place. Blame Facebook mainly. The Moparchat forum seems to be gone, the MoparMarket forum has slowed to almost nothing except in the personal projects. A shame for those of us not wanting to go on Facebook, but if we hold out maybe everyone will come back?

Ray.

The past US presidential elections was a polarizing event in the nation. Unfortunately the forums were not an exception, and making things worst three moderator censored everything they didn't like. Two of the worst censoring moderators are from Europe not the US. In my modest opinion they are the ones to blame.

So just imagine instead of a local guy like you moderating this section, you have a guy of Zimbabwe telling you what is good and what is not for the Australia & New Zealand Region.

A lot of people never came back and others now just post in Facebook, sad but true....

Yeah the decline in forums is sad, I hate Facebook and what it has done to people's communication skills, we have 25 staff of various ages and demographics and I can tell you those on Facebook are very poor communicators in face to face environments. I do check in here on a daily basis, mainly looking in here, the For Sale sections and Members Projects and find there is still a bit going on. Most of the other Mopar related forums in Australia have either died right off in the case of Mopar Market or have become a closed shop (hemi6pack).

New joint settles this week so hopefully in another week or so I will share some Airflow images.

The poisoning of almost every subject with political bullcrap and the subsequent arguments that follow are a big reason
that I am not on here that much.
The sensorship you talk about is welcome in my book purely because this is a mopar car site, not a political discussion site
Please keep your political crap to the nether region
Cheers Mate

I had an exciting day! Tropical Cyclone Marcus went straight across the top of us today at 10 am. Cat 2 storm, made a hell of a mess! No one killed that I have heard, Steve.

One thing's for sure, that will be a standout car in Goulburn...

Probably the only one in Australia, likely an ex-consulate car if bought locally.

Hey Sonny, Have you got any pics of that Imperial to share? You should also relay the story of how you came to be an Imperial owner.

Steve.

Hi Ray,
I think it stands out no matter where it goes, they certainly have a presence on the road.
It was imported into Aus privately but never put on the road until I got it.
Cheers,Sonny.

If we go by size and possibly resolution, a pic of around 80kb is plenty good enough for this medium.

950pixels wide is about as much as a screen can handle without having to scroll to see the whole pic, and if you can't see the whole pic all at once what's the point? I size all my pics to 800 - 850pixels wide and at 72dpi that gives a pic smaller than 100kb in most cases. More to the point, it gives a pic plenty big enough to view the subject all at once.

The point? If a pic is too wide on this forum, the whole page is widened to suit the pic. That means that if you don't break your lines in a sentence of a decent length, you have to scroll back and forth just to read the post.

Irfanview is a free download and it's a perfect tool for doing this with pics. You can easily crop, resize, alter contrasts and colouring quickly. I totally recommend it as a means of making this forum more usable.

Quite a nice selection of vehicles you have.

I've got a HR that's been in the family since the day it rolled of the showroom floor.
Series 2A LWB soft top ex army Landrover
1924 Dodge Tourer
58 Plymouth HT

Steve, that's a nice looking Imperial you have. LOL man you were young in that photo!!
