Yeah, yeah - It's not really Forward Look vintage, but it would still rock as a rollback (or even flatbed w/ramps) car hauler:

Close enough! The sheet metal didn't change much from the 'Forward Look era' 61. Old semi tractors are very under appreciated.

I dunno....there is a reason for the phrase 'rides like a truck'. Those old trucks were all work and no pleasure. When you're 22 years old that sounds awesome but much past that you realize you'd rather be pulling your car with something that doesn't require you to wear a kidney belt and has A/C and brakes.

Spot on - Many years ago I bought a '57 Ford F500 that I intended to drive and use - short story; I was VERY MUCH disapointed about how something that looked so cool could be totally uncomfortable. After making a totally new front clip in fiber glass with tilt opening I sold the truck and never missed it.
