What are the differences between an AC and non AC 57 Dodge w/ 325. Is the firewall different? Dash? Anyone here have dealer installed AC in their car? Thanks

The firewall is different, but many non-A/C cars also use the A/C version firewall. I think they did this to use up all the firewalls that weren't ordered with A/C. The A/C firewall has a removable vent flap mounting area. I believe the A/C system would bolt into this area and placed the vent flap in a different location in the system. On the non-A/C firewall, this vent flap area is an integral part of the firewall, and not removable.
