Location: Apple Valley, CA | Hello everyone,
So I just successfully installed my late 70's 440 into my '59 Dodge. I have several hurdles to bound now, the first is alternator wiring.
I have all of the original wiring in place, with the original Voltage Regulator. I understand the need to ground this duel field squareback alternator with a ground wire from one of the field terminals.
1. Can I just hook the black wire from a ground on the voltage regulator to the field terminal?
2. Can I simply just hook the red and green factory wires to alternator?
3. Will the original Voltage Regulator that is currently on the car work with this Alternator?
Also I need to figure out a Radiator for this thing if anyone has a suggestion. |
