There was a pair one day ago for USD 147.00. For such rare items must be the first to see. Has gone after a few hours, even when in bad condition and not complete.

Next time may-be in two years!?!  Good Luck!  - SERGE -

Often considered the "Dodge" sport style antenna, they were available on all the makes, and models, except the station wagons. Most cars seem to have come with the fin mounted antenna though, if the optional rear mounted antenna were ordered.

I've never seen a Chrysler or DeSoto with those on them.

Those are the early 1957 flat base set up. Tough part there is finding or fabricating the rubber bases. There was a thread about these where someone made bases on a ten degree angle. This set needs to be repaired and re-chromed, but it is a reasonable task given the simplicity of the one-piece design.

I don't think I have ever seen these on a De Soto, Chrysler, or Imperial - not that they would look bad on those cars! I have heard of De Sotos with a deck antenna, but I thought it was a single and more like the front design - round base.

Does anyone in our club or a good known vendor rebuild the original dual antennas? I have a set that are broken off near the top.
Thanks

those are not original.

"acme" sells 25$ masts to idiots for 99$.

I sell a better mast and have two types.

My '57 Windsor came from the factory with the "Dodge" style, but this is in Canada. Both the salesman's booklet and the parts manual list both the flat mount and the fin mount style, but how many would have been equipped with this style here is a mystery.

That was incredible cheap for $147 USD, I paid $500USD back in 2010 when the Australian dollar
Reached 1.10USD, I managed to get a new set of gaskets rubbers from Gary Goers, I was very lucky mine came
With the cable and not much else was needed to be done to the dual antennas!

those are the flat types. you cant get gaskets for those. You need the "tilted" gaskets.

These antennas usually go cheaper though not that cheap, someone didn't know what they are worth but those pits look pretty bad.

I agree. They need total restoration: new masts, new wiring, repair, rechrome, & gaskets. Not an easy task.
Given all the work they need, I think the seller got a pretty good deal.
