But it isn't flawless by any means. I dont' believe the '56 Fury had gold valve covers. They were silver just like the motor. But everyone paints them that way because it looks better. |

Location: Branson, MO | Really nice looking car. My brother and I shared one that dad took in on trade in 1962 I believe. And like fools we butchered it by removing the gold side trim, nosing and decking it, painting it bronze, changed the Powerflite to a three on the floor. We raced it on the drag strip in G-Stock and turned in the low 15's I think. The best part back then was we were friends with Al Eckstrand and he actually drove the car down the strip once at Gratten in Michigan.
Oh, if only we had better foresight then.......................
