My 1961 Imperial's motor is toast. I took the cylinder heads off and one cylinder in each bank had severe corrosion. I need a short block (crank, rods, pistons) that only needs bearings, rings, a good honing, and gaskets to be a solid motor. Anything from a 1959-1961 Chrysler or Imperial would work.

I am an Auto Restoration student at the college in McPherson, Kansas. Please do not contact me if you are out of state or cannot deliver from out of state.

Can you check if it spins over and will you send photos, especially pics of the bell housing bolt holes? I would have to switch my crank because the 57-61 trans was different, but other than that everything should be kosher. Where are you located?

Opps! He will only take one from KS. He would have to cross Missouri to get it in Ill. Prolly wants it free too.

Wow, thanks for the great deal. Are you planning on a doing a road trip any time soon, because I have no way of getting a motor home from Illinois any time soon. Maybe freight won't be more than $100 and crating it to Kansas would be easiest. Does it have a carburetor with it?

Are you closer to Chicago or Springfield, and is it would it be quicker to drive through Des Moines or St. Louis to get there? If driving out there is cheaper than freight, I might do that.

Did the motor come out of your car or another '63 Imperial? Send photos of both!

Did you take photos of the motor yet? A friend and I were thinking about driving out there, but that would be a lot of gas so I'm going to look into freighting it to McPherson. Do you live near a Fastenall? I think that will be the most economical option.

Do you have the means to make a crate for the 413 or at least package it nicely on a pallet? I'm looking around for shipping quotes and I also need your town's name for the pickup location on the quote forms.

One of my classmates at school lives in Westfield, Wisconsin. His mom is driving down with a trailer to pick up he and one of his cars to drive him home for Christmas break, so she might be able to pick it up for me. I'll ask for a shipping quote from fastenal; if you can, make a crate so they will insure against any damages. Open pallets aren't covered by their shipping insurance. Do you have any need for the transmission?
