Expert Posts: 1492 Location: Lordstown, Ohio | This car has been for sale off and on over the past 3-4 years I know of. I was wondering if there is some unseen/known issue with it. I offered the guy close to what he asking a 1&1/2 ago he turned it down

Expert Posts: 2003 Location: Branson, MO | I went with a girl back in High School who's dad had a Fury 4 door sedan in the same color. I thought it was bad then but on this Sport Fury convertible I thought just maybe it looks a little better. NOT! No other color is better on a Sport Fury ragtop than black with red interior and a black top. Edited by Viper Guy 2017-11-12 10:19 PM

I offered the guy close to what he asking a 1&1/2 ago he turned it down I don't know about the "unseen" issues, but there are plenty of "seen" ones that would make me want to inspect it VERY closely before bidding (for instance the whole rear wheel opening and lower rearmost quarter panel areas are completely out of shape and look like they are made of bondo)..

Elite Veteran Posts: 854 | Yes David I am sure this car has its share of Bondo and should be looked at before bid on ,But any Convertible in the Era in that price range will have issues .It looks like most of the Hard to finds parts are there and I like the pastel colors on these cars they represent the Era well .

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7806 Location: Williams California | A friend of mine was considering buying this one a few years ago and decided against it after finding floors and trunk that were repaired with generic sheetmetal. That's all I know of it. ---John

Elite Veteran Posts: 943 | The color is beautiful! I talked to the seller too, he said the same thing on the floors but I never saw photos. Definitely an issue, would be best to inspect or see tons of photos first, I would want to. He was willing to come down a little on price. But it's a 59 Sport Fury guys, this isn't a whole lot of money for one. Edited by FINS! 2017-11-24 1:26 PM
