I just did a search on "modern starter" and quite a list came up. However, none were "with Torqueflite". Did you/somebody nuke the thread?

On behalf of those who spent time either watching that thread or contributing to it, having it deleted is completely rude and a disservice to the forum. All that info is lost to the rest of us.

I hope that the next time the original poster posts a new thread, people don't bother wasting their time and effort to contribute answers or info if the potential for deletion is possible.

Just sayin'

Deleting topics usually create more questions then they solve.
Individual topic starter/users feel bad about what happened, don't know how to handle this and often just want something like this 'to simply go away'.
That's not really how public forums work, as you're dealing with more than 1 or 2 people here.

I also understand doing a job as moderator can evenly be difficult about what to do in cases where topics go sour. Especially if there's some interesting tech being shared in the topic.

Not knowing why the topic got nuked, I think I personally would have just locked the topic with a simple explanation as a last post as to why it has been locked. So others can still gather the info posted, 'offenders' can see why it has been locked and topicstarters now know what happens to topics that go off track.

On the other hand, if there's blatant headbashing happening in a topic with only a small number of replies yet, and no real important or interesting info has been shared either, a deletion might just be in order.
Or at least a simple lock, with the mention that this topic will be removed in the next few days, again so everyone knows why and what happened.

Here is the request from the original poster, who felt that the thread was only confusing;

"Hello Swen,
please delete it.
I have made a mess with the converter type and the whole thread is confusing and not relevant.
thamk you.
Antonio."

I didn't delete it, it's in the dead thread area. That means that I could retrive some posts by request.....

Well that explains what happened at least. Just thought it was odd I couldn't get access as it gave me a restricted message, not a thread deleted message. no worries
