Extreme Veteran Posts: 384 Location: Hershey PA | Looked at a 1956 Chrysler St Regis at the Hershey Car Corral Fully restored, AACA Junior and Senior winner, asking $49.500 Car is black top/red upper body/white lower body Seller said there were 12 available color combinations for the St Regis. Is that true? I can get 6 combinations out of red/white/black, was there another 3 color choice available? Seller also said that the red for black/red/white was different than the one for black/white/red????

Elite Veteran Posts: 618 Location: Lubbock, TX | I was pretty sure you could get any color combination possible? I mean, special ordered of course. Sounds more like a seller trying to talk up their car to make it appear more rare and valuable. I mean, if you want to talk about rare cars, I have an all original 1956 Chrysler St Regis that was special ordered with almost every option and XXX trim options, so anything is possible. ~Peter Edited by CaprockClassics 2017-10-05 10:18 PM

Expert 5K+ Posts: 9855 Location: Lower Mainland BC | Here is the 56 St. Regis I saw several times in the Redondo Beach and Hermosa Beach areas in late April/early May of this year: Why does this one have an Imperial Front clip? That was an option? Edited by 56D500boy 2017-10-05 10:54 PM

It looks like there were three different bumpers in addition to three different types of marker/signal lights. Edited by 56D500boy 2017-10-07 1:09 AM

New User Posts: 3 | My St. Regis is Stardust Blue/Cloud White/Mediterranean Blue. I think it's interesting that the whole car is painted Stardust, then masked off to paint the whole lower white, so from the white on down, she's all three colors.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7205 Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | Re - the one with the Imperial front end and interior - unless the current owner has additional documentation, this car was discussed here a number of years ago when it was on an auction, and at that time Chrysler Historical could not verify it had been built that way from factory. Here is the discussion thread on the car from 2013 http://www.forwardlook.net/forums/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=39393&... Edited by imopar380 2017-10-21 10:38 PM

Odd that the same image used in the 2011 sale at the beginning of that topic is used again here. Doctor DeSoto, this sounds like a job for Buck Futz! A singing telegram should reach him, even if he's in the wild on another Spam hunt. The last known address: Buck N. Futz III Sr. Analyst, South Dakota Broccoli Board Persident, Am. Duct Tape Council I believe Buck gets his correspondence forwarded by Señor Analyst of the SDBB (who also serves as his official translator), so send a hard copy en español, por favor. Please include the secret code: N56*8976 NE5717587 The code ensures that Buck (and Señor Analyst) will know the query is legitimate. TG Edited by Highball57 2017-11-11 12:30 PM
