This is a really neat van! The 5.7 hemi drivetrain is a nice upgrade. A little small for an RV conversion, but it would be great as a delivery truck/hauler.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/292259063431?ul_noapp=true

This is a 1960 International Harvester METRO Van. We rescued it from a group of hippies that were never going to do anything with it.

This truck is AWD so it can be used as a hunting/camping vehicle, a Retail Kiosk, a Movie prop or even a food truck! (if you want us to transform it into an open side Food Truck, we can do that for an extra cost)

I specialize in Body Swapping HEMI vehicles and Ford Coyote engines, so this isn't my first rodeo.

We were the first to take AWD Hemi Durango vehicles from 2004-2009 and swap the bodies on them, for Vintage International Harvester Pickup trucks. We've built six Hemi AWD vehicles based on the 04-09 Durango chassis and let me just say- These things are GREAT! This is the first time we've done this on a METRO van and let me also say, that this was no small task.

First we start with a good Late model donor Durango with the 5.7L Hemi and AWD. We remove the Durango body and pull the 5.7 Engine. Then we measure everything and replace anything that needs replacing. All new engine gaskets from top to bottom, inside and out. New tune up parts, plugs, wires, fluids, belt, anything and everything it needs, it gets.

Then we pull the body from the vintage chassis and marry the two together. We retain ALL THE MODERN SUSPENSION, WIRING, BRAKES, EVERYTHING! We leave everything stock-The underneath of this thing is modern!

We use the factory Durango wiring harness- factory cooling system remains, We delete the clutch fan and install an upgraded electric fan unit, the clutch fans rob horsepower, and we like power.

This chassis has Four Wheel Disc Brakes, independent front suspension, Four Wheel Drive,, a Four Link Rear suspension with Coil springs and front & Rear sway bars- ALL FACTORY STOCK Durango so you can buy all the parts for this truck, from your local auto parts store! No hunting for rare parts- this is basically a 2004-09 Vehicle!

This has the on board engine Diagnostics OBDII port, Everything that Dodge gave it from the factory. Automatic transmission with tow haul button and high and low range transfer case. It also has power steering, power brakes- Everything from the factory Durango!

Proper Headlights with High and Low beam, brake lights, turn signals- Everything works from the factory steering column, including the horn and the Cruise.

We put a K&N Shorty cold air intake and a Flowmaster muffler, for more power, more noise. But- this thing isn't obnoxiously loud either. It sounds like a modern Hemi truck throttling down the road. It has Tilt, Cruise Control and even the AC can be operational rather easily because the factory Air Compressor is installed on the engine. Right now it has Heat & Defrosters and wipers. Any qualified shop could add AC because half the work is done and the compressor is on the engine.

The front seats are comfy and fully adjustable, ready for the long trips. The rear seat can be removed by pulling two little levers. There are THREE 12V power ports in this truck, so that you can CHARGE YOUR PHONE or power anything, really.

We built it for fun. We built it for POWER. We built it for modern reliability. We built it for maintenance simplicity. What could YOU do with it? We've just completed this build and we are driving it around to local car shows where it gets TONS of attention. It's a really cool, different and vintage truck. AWD HEMI POWER baby... Bid HIGH and Bid to win. (also for sale locally, so don't delay)

Sold for $19.4K, that's more than I thought it would bring.

Man, I love these Metro's. I followed your videos on the build and enjoyed them. I was impressed with what you are doing too and the things you were building instead of buying. Pretty cool. I was also pretty surprised by the views and subscribers you've got. Definitely impressed. -Chris
