Subject: factory rim colour

I am wondering what the correct factory rim paint colour would have been on my 58 Chrysler Windsor; right now the rims are a silver colour but I am guessing they were gloss black from the factory?

Thanks for the links; I'm thinking I need to look closely at my rims as perhaps the silver/aluminum paint is original; it does look like very old paint.
