In the Felpro gasket set for my '57 230 were 2 O-rings with instructions to cut 2 sections of o-ring to 1.125" and lay in the groove of the front main cap. I don't see anywhere on the front main cap where a piece of an o-ring is supposed to go. Any help appreciated!

Sounds like a misprint, the REAR cap has grooves for a rubber seal.

Are you talking about those little "h"-shaped seals, one on each side of the rear main cap? My kit came with those (2 styles, actually), but also the o-rings described above. Maybe it only applies to certain years or engine sizes?
