What could be the problem on my 1958 TorqueFlite transmission...it has developed a habit to "wait" for few seconds between gears when it should shift from 1 to 2nd gear.

-it is losing power just like shifting to neutral...

-it shifts normally when transmission is cold, problem starts at operating tempereture.
-no slipping on any gears.
-It shifts normally from 2 to 3.
-transmission oil seems to be OK by color and smell and amount of it.
Transmission was completely rebuilt 3 years and maybe 10 000 miles back...should I tighten some bands or what would be the most likely solution...?

Please feel free to shoot some ideas to start playing with.
