I am planning to sell my 1960 Windsor. I love this car with all of my soul. It is such a nice survivor car, but I have had her for 5 years and I am wanting to move either to a 58 Belvedere or a 70 Challenger.

I likely will regret this decision, as I'll never find another with the level of documentation that this one has. I won't get out of it what I paid for it, but I'm not the first to make an emotional purchase.

If successful, I will always be a loyal member, and my FL days will never be done. It's just time to let this one go to another lover of the 60 models!

I purchased this car in June 2012 from what I believe was its third owner. As shown, the car has an amazing amount of provenance and documentation from its purchase new at House of Ryan Chrysler in Green Bay. This vehicle had 37,8XX miles when I received it, and it now has 43,8XX original miles. The driver door and trunk lid show the original service station stickers and maintenance history. The mostly original paint is in remarkable shape, with only a few areas which I believe have been retouched. The vehicle has been ziebarted at some point in its life. The 383 2bbl runs great and strong. The interior is original, with the exception of new windlace and headliner installed by previous owner. I also believe that the seat foam was replaced in the front. I added a Secret Audio wireless remote unit in the glove box, and new two way speakers in the front and rear, which can be removed if so desired.
Below is a list of work I have performed on the car:
• Carb rebuilt - 2013
• Radiator recored - 2016
• Dual exhaust added - 2014
• PS pump rebuilt - 2013
• New brake shoes in 2013
• New center link - 2013
• Heater control valve rebuilt - 2016
• New lower control arm bushings – 2013
• Gary Goers – trunk carpet added

Below is a list of needs the car has
• Minor trans pan leak. I have a new Fatsco gasket, I just don’t have a lift to install it.
• Minor PS leak at steering box. I believe this is just the hose clamp.
• Occasional propeller shaft vibration between 25-40 mph. I believe that this needs to be aligned properly. I simply don’t have the tools, and no local mechanic is confident enough to tackle it.

Overall, this is a wonderful, original car which has brought me incredible joy. I will regret selling it, I am sure, but my tastes are changing and it is time to pursue a new obsession!

Let me know via PM or email if you have any questions, or would like specific photos of any area of the car. I am happy to disclose my asking price privately.

Thanks – Chris Mangeot

Forgot to mention that the right side rear panel and bumper each have a small dent from the careless original owner who did not chock the wheel while jacking. I left this as it is original to the car, but would be an easy fix.

The price is the most important piece of information.

I wouldn’t want to get a flood of emails asking thinking it’s $2500...is it $2500?

Why keep it private?

It's just my preference. Nothing more. If this car is something that a member or other buyer is looking for, then I'd think that they would reach out to me privately, as many already have, to discuss the particulars. No sense in my mind blabbing about on public forums for people who have no interest in the car, nor any stake in its sale, to pick apart whether the price is "right, or fair". If, like it was for me, this car is what trips a particular person's trigger, they will reach out. If it isn't your thing, why critique, as is done so much on so many car sites.

Posting a price weeds out all the time wasters asking about price. That’s why it is a good idea to list a price. I don’t like wasting my time with people who aren’t going to buy the car. Your preference is your preference. Good luck with the sale. It is a nice car.
