Subject: 1963 imperial master cylinder

Hey guys i put disc braks on my imperial in the front now its time for mastercylinder up grade i want to put a duel one on from a 70 imperial. What does the bore size mean and r they the same
.or is there a different one i should be using for this swap ant help is good help.

'63 Imperial bore is 1", the '70 Imperial is 1 1/8". Going to a larger bore MC will shorten the pedal travel and make for a firmer pedal but will decrease the system pressure by about 20%.

A better choice might be a 1" or 1 1/32". Perhaps those who have made the swap will weigh in.

I went with 1.1/8 of a 67 and it works fine but had to modify the lid to make it fit under the booster.
