Expert Posts: 3155 Location: NY & VT | There's a member on here who lives very near you in Chestertown off I-87 who has a very nice green '55, can't remember if it is a NYer or Windsor, nor can I remember his name right now (I'm old!)

Not many '55 Chrysler's on the ForwardLook site, huh? I posted a photo but deleted the post until I found a better photo. Let's see if this works.... This photo is Owen's car. Hopefully he has more photos and finds this thread. He's got a ton of documentation as well. Great solid car: (55300x.jpg) Attachments ---------------- 55300x.jpg (264KB - 91 downloads)

Yeah, Owen's car is AMAZINGLY clean and original. Owen is a first rate guy with a very cool group of cars. His only problem is his absolute dog of a 1957's 300C. Horribly slow car. It's Raven Black.... The slowest color of the 300Cs.

I've got a 300 project myself, but it's a creeper. It seems to be taking forever. My car has sat for 30+ years. I have taken the engine apart to make sure no water (rust) has gotten inside. Everything is surprisingly clean inside, so I'm hoping it will run once I try to fire it. (IMG_0020.JPG) Attachments ---------------- IMG_0020.JPG (81KB - 96 downloads)

Is Marshall Goodnight on this site??? That guy is my hero. If anyone is restoring a 1955 Chrysler, Marshall is the guy to know. First rate Gentleman with TONS of suggestions on how to do it right! He drives the wheels off his C300 too, which is why it's my all-time favorite '55. The black fender just makes it more endearing. I love it! OK I'll bite, yup I've tried to get rid of that "dog" for a while now, paid $6k for it in '57 and they didn't even put power brakes or steer on it what a rip off, thanks Chrysler Corp. On the other hand the '55 I have is a lovely car, which is suprising given the previous owner........

Since we are apparently the only 1955 Chrysler owners on this site.... Did you ever get that aftermarket windshield in your '55 C-300 Owen? If so, how did it fit? Are you happy with the quality or not?

If so, how did it fit? Are you happy with the quality or not? Gave the original winshield in the car a polish up and got a couple of the chips filled, came up quite nice, for a driver anyway. Still got the NORS screen in the parts bin looks nice but can't comment on fit, ended up getting another one off a friend too. If you get really stuck for one let me know. But being vin #1 your windshield is probably oval anyway, they never could get those early cars quite right.

It can't hurt to have a couple spares, especially overseas. I was looking through the photos of your car the other day and wishing my car was as nice. There seems to be a lot of restored C-300s, but not a ton of survivors like yours. All my glass seems to be good, so I'm set. Now if you had an NOS set of rear fenders I'd take you up on it.

Hey Mark! Great thread. You didn't mess around with that engine. Good to see a car that's driven. Gotta say this photo must have been an honor. (cm.jpg) Attachments ---------------- cm.jpg (208KB - 95 downloads)

Expert Posts: 1730 Location: Michigan | Absolutely. Number 2 spot on the circle next to the only other 55 there and it was, I mean, all original 33k mile car.
