Expert Posts: 1287 | Lads -- Two sweet young things have a gorgeous all black with a red interior '60 Fury convertible in the 2017 Hemmings Great Race. Its schedule is: Jacksonville, FL | Saturday, June 24 | 8:30 a.m. Tifton, GA | Saturday, June 24 | 4:30 p.m. Chattanooga, TN | Sunday, June 25 | 5:15p.m. Bowling Green, KY | Monday, June 26 | 5 p.m. Franklin, IN | Tuesday, June 27 | 4:30 p.m. Auburn, IN | Wednesday, June 28 | 4:30 p.m. Ypsilanti, MI | Thursday, June 29 | 4:45 p.m. Frankenmuth, MI | Friday, June 30 | 4:45 p.m. Sault Ste. Marie, MI | Saturday, July 1 | 5:15 p.m. Traverse City, MI | Sunday, July 2 | 1 p.m. They have a great car, complete with swivel seats and wide white walls, and are sponsored by Hagerty. Those cars were made for something like that. I can't think of anything to bring the Forward Look more favorable publicity and I wish them well. Bonne Chance, ma belles filles! Expert Posts: 1287 | Al -- Do you know what engine it has? I assume a 318 in it, either the 230 or 260 horse version. Joe

Veteran Posts: 210 Location: Suwanee, GA | My daughter and I drove over to Rome, GA where the racers made a brief pit stop before heading to Chattanooga. We stayed until the Plymouth arrived. One of the girls said it had a 318, then kindly opened the hood. Here are a couple pics. You be the judge, as I'm not familiar with these engines. It would be fun to do this race, but with the supposed $7500 entry fee, I'll pass. Several interesting cars, with the Toyota 2000GT being my favorite. Expert Posts: 1287 | Lads -- It's a 318 and looks like a 230 horse job, not a power pack 260. Lovely car. Joe

Expert Posts: 1287 | Mike -- I heard those sweet young things went for the Fury because they didn't want an old man's car such as a big ol' full-size Dodge or DeSoto! Joe

Elite Veteran Posts: 990 | Saw the car at the start in Jacksonville, has a 318 two barrel. Beautiful car. They were having trouble with vapor lock, seems the fuel filter is in the wrong place on the fuel line and was too close to the engine block.
