Regular Posts: 50 Location: Apple Valley, CA | Well hello everyone! My name is John Cataldo, I live out in Apple Valley Ca (Desert). I have been lurking on here for some time but up until yesterday every Forward Look MoPar I looked at fell through. Yesterday I swooped up my ideal vehicle a 9 passenger 1959 Dodge Station Wagon. I say "My" Ideal but really the ideal fit of 1959 Dodge and 9 Passenger station wagon. This one is technically my wife's as it was her turn next to get a new car added to our fleet. (My 1967 Corvair, 1973 Camaro, 1975 Jeep Wagoneer and Her 1965 Mustang, 1988 Jeep Wrangler (Jurassic Park clone) and now a 1959 Dodge Sierra Spectator). Expert Posts: 4036 Location: Connecticut |
Congrats on your find ! I hope it's as solid as it looks. What options does the car have ? I already see the tinted glass, power rear window and the roof rack. Does it run or drive ? Can you post some more photos (engine, interior, etc) ? BTW, your car is a Los Angeles-built wagon, schedule date around Apr 8, 1959. The body is all yellow, with white fins.
Edited by ronbo97 2017-06-20 1:29 PM

Regular Posts: 50 Location: Apple Valley, CA | The interior is typical of a car sitting in the desert for well over 20 years. I can see what I think says September of 1970 as the last registration, but it is very difficult to make out. It has been parked up here in the desert for over 20 years and looking at the wear and tear on things I would guess 106,000 miles not 206,000 as the break pedal is nearly pristine. The seats are completely destroyed but the frames are in great shape (Rusty but very solid). Floor boards are perfect, Quarters, rockers, bottoms of doors, windshield channel is all very solid. The Torque Flight is still in the car and looks like it has "fresh" pink trans fluid in it. No motor but from what I assume was a 361 originally. Power Steering Power Breaks Power Rear Window Roof Rack 9 Passenger If anyone can decode the Trim Tag that would be amazing as I can not find out how.

(First Car I have EVER purchased that does not have a busted windshield) I am super stoked about this project, and one of the best parts I got it for $1000

Extreme Veteran Posts: 509 Location: Whetstone, Arizona | In Sunshine yellow...same as my 57 D500....if it was a Custom you would see the "Custom" emblems on it...or holes where they were I see it has after market power brakes....booster on the inner fender...not the "Can" or "Bellows" Edited by arizona mopar gold 2017-06-20 6:19 PM
