Elite Veteran Posts: 769 Location: Oley, PA | 56300B, please let us know when you get your set. I'll be buying a new set of wires for my 59 Windsor 383 and haven't yet decided what to buy. Just a couple of things I noticed: The AC Delco set on RockAuto appears to be a premade set with straight boots on the distributor end and 45° boots on the sparkplug end. Not sure how important this is, but for originality, every factory photo I have seen has wires with straight boots on both ends. I am not aware of any premade sets that are currently available with the straight boots on both ends. I know a lot of people use sets that have 90° boots on the distributor end without any problems As for the spark plug end, I believe the 45° boots will work okay, but you will have to make sure they are positioned correctly away from the heat shields. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this. In the past, I have been using universal sets that you have to cut to length and crimp on the connectors. The advantage of this type of set is that you can get the length exactly to where you want it. The downside is that if you don't have a high-quality crimping tool, you may not be pleased with the results. Let us now how the AC Delco set works out. Extreme Veteran Posts: 480 Location: The Great Northwest | Greg, I agree with the 45 degree spark plug boot concern. The 61 wire supports are different than the 63 supports shown in your photo. The routing of the wires gets crowded with all the options and other obstacles so I'm hoping the angled boot will allow for some flexibility in positioning the wires away from heat and interference in general. Feedback will be provided when they get installed. Arland

Location: North Australia | I used a set of B&B Suppressor wires, part No S8-56214 on my 1960 Imperial and think they are very good fit. my set came with straight black boots on the distributor and orange/brown right angle spark plug boots. Black wires. Lengths were good, and with the right angle plug boots it was easy to direct the wires away from the ex. manifolds and the heat shields. Car traveled around 5000 miles now and they still look and perform excellent. I used the original wire holders, plus a couple plastic spark plug wire clips I raided of modern wrecks to hold them all steady. The 45 degree boots might even be better. Here is a link to this set on ebay. Made in USA! Steve. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Spark-Plug-Wire-Set-Suppressor-Wire-Set-B-B... Edited by 60 Imp 2017-06-14 7:44 AM

Extreme Veteran Posts: 480 Location: The Great Northwest | Last year I had to return two sets from Lectric Limited because they were not as described on the telephone. My 61 is an early build car from late 60 so the wire sets really didn't match up. Good company though..............

Elite Veteran Posts: 943 | I used the Lectric Limited ones on my '60 Imperial and they fit and looked great. I ordered 1 or 2 different sets from Rock Auto and they did not fit, I order a set from Bernbaums and his did not fit either. So if they AC Delco ones from Rock Auto fit let us know. I don't think I tried those.

Expert Posts: 2519 Location: central Illinois | I've been using the Standard OE wires and have no issues with length or fit. Put them on a '59 and '60 383 so I would think the 413 would be the same.
