Fellow Forward Lookers,

My 57 New Yorker has (2) part metal, part rubber lines that I think are for the oil pressure gauge..one of them is leaking..they travel over the valve cover...any ideas on part numbers or where they can be had?

Thanks,

billy

The line under the dash to the gauge is metal. The line off the rear upper center of the engine block is probably what you are asking about. There was only one from the factory. You may have some mechanic-created combination of parts? I would take off the leaking hose, take it to any local shope, including some parts houses, that can make a new line for you.

If your car has factory air conditioning there were two hoses to pick up mist and return the drips to the rear of the left valve cover. These lines are in and out of a valve just above them on the firewall which is part of the AC system.

The only direct source for new oil pressure lines that I know of are Atlas Obsolete, but you can have one made as StillOutThere stated. http://www.moparmall.com/1957-1958-1959-MoPar-Oil-Gauge-Hose-p/710-...
