Location: The Mile High City | I wonder if you can fill the gas pump with beer? I have a working traffic light in the basement and that is about as far as I can go. As much as I like that couch, it makes a room look pretty tacky.

I have a working traffic light in the basement and that is about as far as I can go. As much as I like that couch, it makes a room look pretty tacky. Embrace the tackyness Mike! At least the couch has a purpose. Not the same could be said for the traffic light.... unless you have it wired to give you morse code messages or something.

Expert Posts: 1886 | I'm fine with that as I'm more comfortable knowing it's not from an actual car, minus the bezels.

Location: The Mile High City | When my traffic light turns red, I stop drinking beer from the gas pump! I saw that about the fiberglass. I wonder if just the bumper is fiberglass? Why would they put the trunk drip channel in a fiberglass mold?

Veteran Posts: 236 Location: Morgan Hill, CA | The bumper is steel. Its 79" wide and 36" deep. Mike, I was on the phone with Pastor James all set to buy it yesterday. Was lining up shipping and then he called me and told me that he had not seen your email saying you'd take it. He doesn't check email often so was delayed in seeing what you sent him. He was a little perplexed what to do since no money had passed hands yet. I told him you were first in line since you said you wanted it. Told him if you fell through my money would be on the way. I don't think this couch is tacky AT ALL. Will be a great piece wherever it goes. Have fun with it. Doug Edited by dlyle 2017-05-25 11:11 AM

In the future, if you are going to post a Craigslist ad PLEASE post a picture for future reference. Thanks.......carry on.

Veteran Posts: 236 Location: Morgan Hill, CA | Bumper and tail light bezels are real. Has speakers in the side panels. I have a few pictures he emailed me mostly of the bottom. I had him take some specific pictures so I knew he was a real person with a real sofa for sale. Location: The Mile High City | Ok, I want the moderators to give this thread a gold star. Check me on this, but I do believe we just had a civilized thread about a car couch. In not-so-golden days of yore, a car couch thread usually ended with f-bombs, hurt feelings, and five or six members resigning in disgust. My how times have changed.
