I went to work on my long-term D-501 project and noticed something about the inspection sticker on the inside of the windshield. I was aware that there was one, but I hadn't noticed that they had the "Type" listed as a "501." I found that interesting as the title just indicates a Coronet, nothing about the D-501 status. Dave

Location: New Castle PA | LOL! It also looks like it says "THIS SUCKER VOID AFTER..."
I have a 1972 PA state inspection sticker in my 1957 DeSoto Adventurer.

Location: Whetstone, Arizona | Swept57 , If your car is a D501...why is the year on the sticker say 58?....Isn't the 501 a 57 year only....after 57 they were 500-1's |

Location: Seville, OH | The writing is pretty sloppy, but I agree, it does look like an 8. The car is most definitely a 57. And you are correct, D-501 is 57 only. The VIN on the sticker matches the tag and I have the IBM card and CHS letter. The trim tag also indicates D-501. All D-501s except the very early hard tops had a unique body number.

Location: Seville, OH | I intend to start a thread on it. It's completely disassembled now and I am in the process of moving it to a new location to work on it. |
