So I have a 56 CR and at some point it had a 325 installed. I pulled the engine tonight and I need both mounts and a trans mount. I found these on Steele rubber products. They are for 57-59 customs would they fit a 56?

Now I now Kanter carries the Trans mount but the motor mounts you have to send your old ones in and they rebuild them. But at 243 dollars a side that's a little steep.

Most of the mounts changed in 57. The link shows what appears to be B-RB cushions.

On a side note I've looked thru my engine manual and can't see anything but. I have coolant coming out of my exhaust manifold studs. Cracked head?? It's a 325 poly

It may not be a cracked head……..don't panic, it could be an intake gasket or even a head gasket let go, the cross over passes could be plugged. How much coolant are you loosing from the engine?. I should have asked is the engine running when you're seeing the coolant drip? If it's a cracked cylinder head, usually the engine will burn the coolant off in the combustion chamber while running. Let us/ me know what you find I intend to check over a couple 325's The Hemi I know runs great but I'm going to pull it and do some work with it. The other is a 325 poly hasn't ran, sat out side for I don't know how many years and I really don't have any history on it…….It's my learning block ??? so I'm following your posting here

The engine is out and the manifold is off. I hadn't had any issues prior to the engine pull. Looking at some cutaways of the engine it looks like they are thru holes. I highly doubt a head or intake gaskets the water is actually coming out of some of the stud holes. I'm pretty confident after looking at engine cutaways that they are thru holes. Some of the water pump bolt holes do the same thing. Once I get it back in the car I'll will post updates.

So I found one NOS mount on ebay last week and it had a Part Number 1637585 and was listed for a 56-59 dodge. I received it and it is correct for my car. The seller has another one but it has a Part Number of 1637610. I found a website that list this part number for a 56 V8 dodge. Why the difference between the two numbers? Is one for a drivers side and the other a passenger side number?

Collector auto supply is a "reseller" his stuff is very out of date as he simply pulled this list off another seller, he marks things up 30-50% and then orders them and resells them to you.

Hunt around more youll find the actual seller who has his site up to date

Yeah im not buying from that site. It was the only site I could find that referenced that part number for a 56 Dodge V8. I was trying to get some clarification on whether or not that mount would work. I got a mount from a Ebayer last week at a pretty good price and he said he has another one but it has this 1637610 number on it and he isn't sure if it will fit my 56. he said it looks the same but cannot guarantee a fit.

1637610 is correct for a '56 Dodge and some '56 Plymouths.
