Veteran Posts: 172 Location: Newcastle, NSW AUSTRALIA | It's a MoPar it'll make it I'm known by others to put to much trust in my cars but I have never had any problems (touch wood) I always tell people it's a MoPar it will get you home only time we ever had a breakdown the car wouldn't start in our driveway so just jumped in another turned out the dizzy gear lost a few teeth Yeah we usually travel as a group about 10 to 12 MoPar's we leave about 4:30 first stop Pheasants Nest about 6am then stop at Yass for breakfast about 8:30am then stop at Holbrook so the kids can play on the sub about 11:30am then in Albury by 12:30ish | ||

The rod setup they used was so bodged together that it never worked. I got a lokar cable setup which improved it so very much but still needs ironing out. When the transmission has been working hard (traffic and stopping and starting) it won't shift from 2nd to 3rd and also very occasionally won't go back to 1st after stop. It could be a combo if needs more adjusting and bands or valve etc but I don't have enough knowledge or time to get it all to work. | ||

Have to sort out my brakes next, will get new shoes put on I think and maybe machine the drums. Have also got a new master cylinder coming as the one on it now is leaking. After not much driving before I owned it its starting to losen up and all the little bugs start appearing, I expected that though so all good with that. Hope you have a great trip to COTM, darn its a great show. So easy to spend 2 full days looking at all the beautiful Mopars. | ||

I don't live far from that which is why my old girl gets cranky stuck in traffic!!! The soldier memorial is to honour our ANZACS but I guess all soldiers.. Hope all is good with your lad. He's only got a small workshop and I don't want it sitting out in the rain.. I know it leaks down the rear window into the boot area and I'm also dubious about the trim fittings along the roof. | ||

We also celebrate ANZAC day with marching through the streets of cities and towns by our veterans. That's pretty cool that their is a town in Canada called ANZAC and it still sounds a horn every night in remembrance. I wonder if it's the whole Monarchy thing. | ||

the light blue 57 belvedere was the star of the show for me ! Yeah the 57 was my favourite the only other car I was drawn to was a VIP Valiant was white looked standard we cruised behind it doing 60kph Saturday night the guy hit the hammer & it left 2 black tracks. When I seen it Sunday it had a stroked 318 fuel injected turbo motor went real hard. | ||
