Hi,
Do you know if this will also fit a 57 Imperial power steering pump?
Thanks,Sonny.

sorry this is sold.

But there were 3 power steering pumps in 57 that I know of.

1 Vickers and two Thompsons (the thompsons are the big nut and small nut(shaft sizes)).

The Vickers is easily spotted since it had the big kind of resivoir sticking up.

The thompsons look alike but are very different. The small shaft(small nut) basically does have a rebuild kit except a front seal and a big seal and a bearing.

This kit was for a "big" nut Thompson.

attached is the picture of the "small" shaft Thompson. This kit does not fit this pump(this pump has no kit).

there is also a federal pump? you can see the federal and the "big shaft" Thompson aka "slipper" type pump here. I believe the small shaft Thompson was only used in 57, the big shaft took over after that.

I think the slipper type rebuilds are available from rockauto?

GATES 350370?  not sure.  this was an original complete kit with even the new cap seal.  beware some kits seem to be different...

Thanks for the info Mikes2nd, I just looked at mine and it is the smaller nut. It works fine but is leaking from the big o-ring it appears, ill just try and get the o-ring from a local supplier.
Cheers,Sonny.
