Even tho' this is not a ForwardLook car, it is one of my most wanted dreamcars. This is a 1962 Dodge Dart 440 (not Polara) convertible. The body-style, the paint and the wheels is exactely how I would want it to be. Even the tires are right

Sorry the pics seem to be a bit big. Don't understand why. But if you can scroll (if that is what it is called) sideways, you can still get the pic I think. At least you will be able to see the whole car.

Ah, you just need to start making and selling something. Nothing says you have to quit when you retire. Now, get out there and make something of yourself. Marc.

The 62 Dart was Imported into Australia. Only as a 4 door sedan, with the 318. First time I saw one (in a car park in Adelaide, South Australia), it stopped me in my tracks! I think I have only seen 1 other.

Now, if only Chrysler Australia imported 2drht's (with the big block!).................

Or maybe modified as a ute............

Steve.

Here is the '62 Dart I own, but this is a 4 door sedan. First pic (may have to downsize) at a local meet (with my '62 Chrysler Newport 4 door sedan 96K miles behind it). The Dart also with the 318 and standard 3 speed trans "on the tree". 4 barrel carb and 235 HP. Certainly no problem to spin the wheels. This one was danmaged in one of the fires I mentioned elswhere on here. I got 2 more of the same kind but they need quite a bit of work.

The '62 Darts as well as the Polara could be had with the 413 cid RB "MAX WEDGE" engine with dual quads and 415 HP from the factory. Since not so many were made and even less of them left, these cars have become very popular to "clone" into MAX WEDGE cars. So be aware if you see one of these cars advertised as an original MAX WEDGE car. 415 HP and approx. 2500 pounds to move really make them fast. Read about these MAX WEDGE cars back in the early to mid '60s. Mostly 1st, 2nd, 3rd and even 4th in the same race on the racetracks. Drag as well as oval-tracks.
