We have started tearing down the 58 Desoto 2 dr sm ht and noticed that it has a 2bbl and I think a 4bbl will be much better. But I am not sure what model 4bbl would have originally came as a option.

If you want to keep it original, the 4 bbl. 361 should have been a Carter AFB. The good thing is any manifold (after market or factory) from a 383 will also fit. You could use a late model Edelbrock of about 600 CFM and it looks very much like the old AFB.

You should be able to find a 4bbl intake manifold for a good price. Linkage may be a little different for the 4 bbl.

You can buy a 4 barrel intake for a 383 and it will bolt right on, a 600cfm edelbrok will get you moving nicely. Get an aluminum intake.
