| Has anyone done this swop? Iv just finished clearancing the the firewall and front cross member and have a nice fit now, but I'm having trouble with exhaust, stock manifolds are out of the question, the 440 is now a 496 cid and putting out 575 hp and 625 tq on the Dino . so stock manifolds will not give the flow I need. Anyone know of a set of headers that will clear the stock steering box?? Iv scrounged up 2 different sets of headers but both sets seam to want to occupy the same space as the box! |

| welcome to custom rod woes. This is usually the biggest problem engine swappers face. Sorry I don't know of any off hand that will clear. Good thing is the 440 has lots of aftermarket support so you may find something. |

Location: Camptown PA | There are weld your own header kits out there. I did a "build your own header" web search and found lots of options. If you can't weld www.stainlessheaders.eclipticcms.com has a pvc kit you put together then send to them, and they'll fab the headers for you. Probably not cheap. Hope this helps |

A set of 1978 to 1972 Dodge Truck Exhaust Manifolds for either the 440 or 400 Engine will do as you are asking in both fit design placement and flow.
https://www.1aauto.com/exhaust-manifold/i/1aeem00081?f=378652&y=1976 ( The Starter Motor side does not have a Warm Up Heat Devise - like the other side has ).
