This question has probably been asked before and tried to search but did not find any results

Would like to confirm which year station wagons interchange the rear tailgate glass for 1957 - 1964 C-body wagons

Are there some model years that are unique and do not interchange ?

Search this site. Then change the model year in the web address from 62 to another year to see what was used then.

The Hollander Interchange says '57-'59 only.

IF this interchange is correct, here is a lot to think about -

According to the "AUTO INTERCHANGE SYSTEM" book says for FULL sized cars[buy one of theses booklets].

#228 - 1957-59 Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge,Plymouth - same
#233 - Early 1960 Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth - same
#232 - Late 1960-62 Chrysler, late 1960-61 Dodge, 1962 Dodge series 880, late 1960-61 Plymouth - same
#239 - Except series 880 - 1962 Dodge, 1962 Plymouth - same
#269 - 1963-64 Chrysler, 1963-64 series 880 Dodge - same
#238 - Except series 880 - 1963, 64 Dodge, 65 Coronet, 1963, 64 Plymouth, 1965 Belvedere[only] - same

What a mess, EH?

Good luck,
Karl.

Further research on the station wagon tailgate glass interchange. The following attachment contains list of the Chrysler Tailgate Glass part numbers. All information was obtained from factory original Mopar collision manuals.

I referenced back to each manual to double check which numbers were used for each year. According to the info contained in the collision manuals ALL years offered Clear and Solex (tinted) tailgate glass.

Other Notes: comparing taligate glass side by side removed from a 1961 and 1964 Dodge station wagon. They have the same dimensions and look to be identical.
This is only a theory but part# may have changed because of switch to new style (improvement) safety glass

NAGS Nat'l Association of Glass Suppliers catalogs are the "bibles" of glass fitment. I uploaded some FL -relevant pages I had years ago but can't find those. New uploads are now in the albums.

The pages are over 250 kb each so I can't attach them here.
