Anyone here have a photo of a wrench used to loosen the distributor hold down bolt. My Bro and I have tried for over an hour to get his dist wrench on to no avail. We can't really see the darn bolt without a mirror. HELP !!!!!!!!

Never mind. I got my daughter to get up on the engine and she was able to get a small 1/2" open end on that bolt. Ah, to be young again.

There is a long shaft, offset 1/2 " box end wrench available at most auto parts stores for the MANY brands of cars with distributors held in time by a half inch headed bolt. Its a very common tool.

I just Googled "distributor wrench" and got a bunch of options back:

(I might be in the market for one for my D500 315 hemi).

The 1/2" version shown by Wayne is what I use. It works well and makes the job easy.
