Location: McComb, Mississippi | The time has come for me to thoroughly clean and paint/detail the undercarriage of my '63 Crown. I know it's not technically forward look. I'm wanting to paint the suspension and steering components pretty close to factory colors. Does anybody have any reference photos or anything so I can replicate the factory look. Thanks for any help. |

Location: Georgetown Texas | control arms, torsion bars, etc were satin/semi gloss black. the torsion bars had a paint stripe on them. I believe my '61 was a rose pink color. This likely changed year to year. |

| The torsion bar stripe color denoted the thickness of the bar as an assembly line code to make sure the correct set was installed.

For every year of The Imperial Division - there was only two Torsion Bar "spec's". The cars with out Electric Seats - Windows - A/C - Auto Pilot and the like have "Std".
Start adding this's and that's --- the "HD" torsion bars were used. Of course The "HD" Torsion Bars could always be used for 1001 verified reasons.

with soap and water or non paint remover solvents------------------------------------------later
